Currently all funds raised are going to a research project at Childrens National Hospital in DC. The to goal of the project, lead by one of Trace's doctors, is to design a small surgically implanted valve that is then able to be made larger in the cath lab as the child grows, avoiding additional open heart surgeries. Mitral valve surgery was what Trace was in the hospital for most recently. This project has a number of design possibilities already and is in need of funding to make and test these early prototypes.
